Day in Köln (Cologne)
Written at the apartment at 18:15 to 18:45.
After a good and long sleep, we went to the dome which is just three minutes from out apartment away by foot. Here again, we couldn’t get to the top due to snow…
We crossed the Hohenzollernbrücke and tried to get to the panorama platform of Triangle – without any luck, it was also closed. From there we walked though the “Heinzelmännchenmarkt” to the “Rheinauhafen”. There is a chocolate museum. We didn’t visit the exhibition because there were too many people. That’s why we just enjoyed a hot chocolate at the Grande Café, which is near the museum. After that we went to the “Sport- und Olympiamuseum”, which we didn’t enter, either. Both of these museums are surely great, a ticket reservation to avoid long waiting would be worth it.
Back at the train station we bought some drinks and water, pizzas and donuts. This was also our dinner for today, which we ate at out apartment.
After that we relaxed a bit and got ready to go out again.
