Preparations for Sylvester
Written in the train to Bremen on 01.01.2015 at 15:50 to 16:15.
At 10:30 in the morning we had breakfast at our hotel. After a short power nap, we drove to the Van Gogh museum by tram. Because we haven’t bought tickets online we would have had to wait around two hours to get in – we then thought this would be a waste of time. We had a cup of coffee at the “Hardrock Café” nearby. We looked for some souvenirs at the museum and then on our way back to the city we went into a Tesla shop. There we had the chance to sit in a Tesla Model S P85. After that we went to the train station from Amsterdam and reserved some seats for our train to Bremen the next day (4.50 Euros per person).
Then we walked to the “Nemo” museum, where we had a great view over Amsterdam from the roof top. After a beautiful sunset and some early Sylvester rockets, we went to the museum nearby with this famous sailboat. After that we went back to the city and ate some pizza at New York Pizza, went back to the hotel and got ready for Sylvester.
Sylvester
After we ate dinner we met with some friends in their apartment at 22:00. After some time, we took a taxi (our driver drove like a maniac to get us there on time) at 23:30 to the Dam. We arrived at 23:55 and had enough time to get in the center and celebrate the new year. It was a great night.
